Mountain deserts became a permanent source of my inspiration. Incredible colors and contrast under bright sunlight create a beautiful scene full of life and dynamic motion.
The high deserts of California are unique places on the planet. Joshua Trees in the landscape make the painting festive, reflecting the colors of nature. I painted the artwork with expressive brushstrokes, thick, impasto texture. To me, it makes the work's surface more "alive" and full of energy.
The artwork is on oil-primed linen, stretched on wooden bars. It features a wire on the back to ensure even display, even without a frame.
