Evening Flight Blue (2020) Etchings & engravings by Rebecca Denton

An evocative image of gulls dispersing over a calm sea at the end of the day.

This begun with a pencil sketch which I redrew, using an etching needle onto a grounded zinc plate. I added an aquatint to achieve the tones and burnished the sky in broad sweeps to create the rays of light. The plate is inked for every print in the edition meaning each one is unique.

Orders are wrapped carefully in acid-free tissue, loosely rolled in a cylinder and dispatched signed and tracked within 4 days.
