Original title: January 30, Evening Clouds over the Roches de Mariol

Auvergne landscape, France.

This panorama of the Velay mountains unfolds from the vantage point of the studio. The view looks down upon a succession of valleys and hills clad in winter hues, dominated by the ochres, russets, and golden browns of the dormant vegetation.

The horizon is sculpted by the distinctive silhouettes of extinct volcanoes, whose bluish shapes fade into the distance, creating a beautiful atmospheric depth.

However, the scene is majestically dominated by a clear, crisp blue sky, spanned by an imposing formation of white clouds. These cumulus clouds, at once massive and airy, seem to drift slowly, casting their shadows upon the slumbering land below and offering a spectacle of shifting light that I so love to observe.

The artwork will be delivered mounted on a stretcher and ready to hang.
The sides of the canvas are carefully painted white, allowing it to be displayed without a frame for a contemporary and minimalist presentation.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
