This work is a mixed media hybrid of painting and relief sculpture, I was interested in exploiting the zen qualities of minimalist art and the synthesis of different material elements within a single work.
The process of making the piece involves a careful consideration of the way that the forms and colours in the work relate to one another to create an overall sense of harmony or equilibrium. I am interested in the creation of atmosphere and feeling through purely abstract means.
