English Moorland Stream Original Acrylic Painting by oconnart

A modern impressionist landscape painting of an English moorland stream, winding through open heather and rugged grasses beneath a vast, dramatic sky. The landscape is painted in rich blues and soft mauves, with the foreground illuminated by rustic yellow ochre, burnt gold, and warm earthy tones.

Loose, expressive brushstrokes capture the untamed character of the English moors, with distant hills dissolving into violet-blue haze. The stream reflects fleeting patches of light from the turbulent sky, creating shimmering accents of silver and blue. Above, towering clouds sweep across the horizon in deep indigo, mauve, and slate, broken by dramatic shafts of pale golden light.

The overall atmosphere is wild, windswept, and atmospheric—an evocative contemporary impression of the English countryside, balancing cool stormy colours with the warmth of ochre grasses and fading sunlight.

Painted with a palette knife using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
