This year it really has felt like the Summer has no end. We are still having really hot days here in Cambridgeshire in September and my roses have flowered non stop since June. Salvias, Verbena and the orange tones of the pyracantha all forming a colourful backdrop to the roses of Gertrude Jeckyll, Mum in a million and an other which remains nameless.
The painting is a very large canvas (1m x 1m). It is painted in bold brushstrokes with strong colour in an impressionistic style. The paint is put on thickly over gesso which gives the canvas a textured feel.
No framing is required - it is ready to hang. It could be framed in a float frame (not provided but shown in one of the images).
