After the Light continues my exploration of coastal painting with the horizon reduced almost entirely, allowing colour, texture and atmosphere to take the lead.
Warm amber and muted gold emerge through layers of deep blues and charcoal, evoking the final glow of daylight reflected across the sea. The painting sits between abstraction and landscape, inviting viewers to bring their own memories and experiences to the work.
