Original artwork description
‘End of the Day’ is a mixed-media work on watercolour paper by the artist Linda Clerget. It forms part of the ‘Twilight Abundance’ collection. It is an invitation to reconnect with the joy of the end of the day, a metaphor for change.
To create this piece, the artist began by making collages from news articles (often sad or anxiety-inducing) on handmade watercolour paper (sourced from a supplier in the south of France). Once dry, the artist used ink to create a sunset sky in shades of purple, orange and red. On this surface, after it had dried, the artist painted branches and trees using black and blue ink and walnut stain applied with a pen.
The artwork is framed with a mat, Plexiglas and natural beige wooden mouldings.
The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and is signed by hand on the reverse.
This is an original and unique piece.
About the artist: Since 2018, Linda Clerget has been a professional artist based in Paris. Through her connection with nature, she explores ways of taming the intensity of the emotions and sensations she experiences, in order to share them with others. Her work is also imbued with the idea of healing through an artistic relationship with nature.
