A view across to the Langdale Pikes from the shores of the beautiful Elterwater. On the day we visited the sky was reflected in the water and the signs of Autumn were beginning to show in the trees and hedges.
The painting is impressionistic in style with warm tones of pinks and oranges. Bold brushstrokes and strong mark making work together to create an artwork which captures the feel of the place without overworked details.
