Duck egg blue sea
Delicate shades of coral pink and silvery grey sky,
Special sea colours,
Breathing in the sea salt air,
Feeling the calmness on the beach,
Quiet time at Studland.

Words and thoughts of my experience on the Dorset coast.
Original expressive watercolour on cold pressed Saunders Waterford 300gsm 140lb.
I have spent many occasions at Studland bay and it’s magical in Winter.
This original watercolour was created as an art demonstration for my students in the Art Garden Studio.
Very pale washes were used in the build up of the sky and sea colours. I used a small chinese hake mixing with a three colour technique for the tonal contrasting shades. Going into my visual memory and feeling the place.
Signed on the front and back of artwork.
Certificate of authenticity. including my personal words and thoughts about the painting.

Materials used:

Cold pressed watercolour paper Saunders Waterford 300gsm 140lb, Chinese hake, filbert brush, Chinese brush, sable hair brush, Windsor and Newton watercolours,
