The influences in this series of paintings are manyfold. In my time I've been very inspired by medieval knot patterns, science fiction, symbolism, how elements were forged to create the building blocks of life, and stained glass windows - they all come into play in the DNA imagery.
My fascination is with the mystery of existence and the building blocks that were forged in the big bang and stars - elements.
