Derwentwater: Dawn Light (2026) Original Oil Painting by Chris Marshall

63 x 43 x 4cm (framed)

£650

In May this year, I went for a very early walk to climb Catbells, which sits on the west shore of Derwentwater in the Lake District. As well as having an extremely popular climb entirely to myself, I was rewarded with big views, a wonderful cloudscape, and gorgeous dawn light. This painting depicts the view from the summit of the mountain at about 6.30am. It is painted in oils on a 600mm x 400mm stretched canvas. Sold framed and ready to hang.
