Day 3 quiet woodland (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Alina Lobanova

A contemporary landscape painting in acrylic on canvas depicts a quiet woodland with slender trees surrounding a vividly coloured stream, transforming a familiar place into an emotional landscape. Layered translucent brushwork in deep blue, violet, soft orange, pale turquoise, and luminous magenta creates an atmospheric composition that balances observation with abstraction.

This painting is part of The Experience of Silence series, which explores nature as an active participant in dialogue rather than a passive setting. It is based on real Ukrainian landscapes that I encounter during my walks. The series grew from familiar paths and moments when an ordinary landscape ceases to be a neutral backdrop and begins to reveal its own presence and character.

Rather than documenting the landscape itself, the painting conveys the experience of being within it where stillness becomes a form of communication. The unexpected colour of the water shifts perception, encouraging the viewer to move beyond recognition and enter a space of contemplation. Day 3 reflects a quiet state in which observation becomes reciprocal, allowing the landscape to emerge as a living presence rather than a backdrop.

- The artwork is titled on the back and signed. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.
- Canvas already stretched on a gallery wooden frame, high quality.
- Ready to hang, sides are painted, covered with a protective varnish.
