I was moved by the outpouring of public warmth earlier this month when David Bowie died. Although I have never been a particular fan, I was interested to research him further. He was certainly a man of integrity in many ways with considerable creative energy, clear vision and an admirable determination.
It made me review my feelings about him and his work and I felt motivated to paint this portrait.
