Original artwork description
This painting was inspired by dappled light breaking through the trees in the ancient woodland of Fineshades in Northamptonshire. There were a lot of brambles and a lot of scurrying animals hidden in the undergrowth.
I didn't know whether to feel slightly nervous of all these creepy crawlies or in awe of the light filtering through the branches. I think awe won.
Size is with frame 47 x 57 cm (18" x 22")
(40 x 50 cm (16" x 20") without frame.)
If you would like it without the frame send me a message and I will deduct the cost.
Oil paints on a canvas panel and completed with a black frame.
Carefully packaged in a cardboard box and sent tracked and insured to reach you in the best possible condition.
"Mary is a contemporary colourist , painting lively and joyful rural landscapes and coastal seascapes. Her use of rich generously applied colour gives her paintings a sumptuous tactile quality.
The colourful and lively paintings that Mary creates are very recognisable, and she has built up a loyal following around the world."
