Original artwork description:

Tulips seem an ideal way to brighten up your day at any time of the year. Nature has created something so beautiful in the variety of colour and shapes in the humble tulip.
I love all of the flowers from the wild to the cultivated but tulips really are my favourite.

The stems seem to twist and bend depending on the light. These ones are dancing or so it seems. I was painting them while listening to the blues, so I found the title easily.
Also during the night, the temperature change affects them and often when I start the painting again the next day, they are in a completely different shape.
They brought colour and joy to me and I want to reflect that in my painting process.

Soft pinks and blues in the background contrast and harmonise with the red and pink petals. Large bold painting with impact.
