The monochrome colour scheme represents the contrasting aspects of light and darkness within our lives. By focusing solely on black and white, the painting emphasizes the interplay between these two extremes, symbolizing the duality of emotions and experiences.

The gestural brushstrokes add a dynamic and energetic quality to the artwork. The expressive and spontaneous nature of the brushwork reflects the artist's emotional state during the creation process. It captures the rawness and intensity of emotions, inviting the viewer to interpret and engage with the painting on a personal level.

The sides of the canvas are white, providing a clean and contemporary finish. The absence of a visible frame enhances the minimalist style of the artwork, allowing the viewer's attention to be solely focused on the composition itself. The painting is signed on the back, contributing to the overall minimalistic aesthetic.
