Daisy is from my Embellished series, in which I explore the fashion trend of maximalism -- rich and vibrant textures and colors that create arresting images that are both timely and timeless.
Daisy evokes the elegance and sophistication of a bygone era, and the painting was named not for the flowers depicted in the work (which are actually NOT daisies), but rather for the character Daisy, in The Great Gatsby.
