Creech Barrow hill, Dorset
Golden yellow with amber light shone,
Over the ancient hill fort,
Muted earth shades,
Heathland, moorland and marsh pools,
A special landscape in the Isle of Purbeck.

Words and thoughts of my experience in Winter.
A place I often walk and see this view. It truly is a mystical area of natural beauty and history.
Original expressive watercolour on Fabriano cold pressed watercolour paper 300gsm 140lb.
I used a reflective light technique for the background washes leaving some white. Then I began to create the hill line over the golden yellow light with subtle amber tones. Many techniques were used in an expressive way and I used my visual memory and imagination.
Signed on the front and back of the artwork.
Certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

Cold pressed watercolour paper Fabriano 300gsm 140lb, filbert brush, sable hair brush, Chinese brushes, French watercolours Sennilier,
