Stop for a moment. That's how I would call this work. The cosmea flower. I saw this photo in monochrome and decided that this is the way this flower excites me the most. Already fading but with a thirst for life. There is balance and calmness in it, but the turbulent flow of life leaves no chance to bloom forever.
In a painting, we can leave such moments of life forever. I experienced stormy pleasant emotions while writing this work.
A beautiful and harmonious combination of the deep color of Caput Mortoom watercolor paint with a drop of orange and ultramarine. I am currently working on a series of monochrome works that you can also see in my shop.
The work is made on 100% cotton watercolor paper Saunders Waterford of archival quality 300g/cm, using the world's best watercolor paints with the highest lightfastness.
