This panoramic oil painting captures one of my favourite beaches on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand. I wanted to preserve the feeling of this special place by bringing together all the elements that make it so captivating: the sculptural rocks emerging from the turquoise sea, the lush tropical hills, the distant mountains, and the quiet stretch of golden sand.
The panoramic format allows the landscape to unfold naturally, inviting the viewer to explore the scene from the rugged foreground to the tranquil horizon. Contrasts between the warm tones of the rocks and sand and the cool blues and greens of the water create a sense of depth, light, and harmony.
