In this work, I explore society’s contradictory representations of women: the Marian ideal, which demands purity, submission, and self-sacrifice, while advertising, cinema, and even mythology portray women as seductive, sexualized, and free. I ask: “But what does a woman herself want? What does a real, contemporary ‘Virgin Mary’ look like?”
