I captured the unique spirit of Collonges-la-Rouge on canvas, its walls woven from crimson stone.
My palette knife greedily caught the raw texture of this red sandstone, creating thick, tangible strokes.
In this painting, I wanted to convey not just a landscape, but the living soul of the ancient French town.
The towers of medieval manors soar upward, cutting into a dynamic, wind-swept sky.
I intentionally clashed the terracotta tones of the earth with pure azure to bring the frozen scene to life.
Bright highlights on the dark slate roofs compete with the deep, almost palpable shadows at the base of the buildings.
With every new layer of oil, this unique, fiery street revealed its true character.
I left a piece of my soul here, sealing this fleeting, light-drenched moment in paint.
