Original artwork description:

Monterey cypress thrives near the sea on the west coast of the United States, where it is native to the Monterey Bay, California, area. It has a high wind tolerance, becoming increasingly more attractive under heavy wind conditions. The wind shapes the trees in a way that it looks like they are dancing on the beach at Lovers' Point, Monterey. Their "dancing" motion and shapes inspired me to paint this scene.

Materials:
Oil on oil primed Claessens Belgian linen canvas on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, finished with melamine backing that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. Painting is unframed and requires a frame to hang.
