City Blues is painted in fire rather than blue. Beneath massive elevated structures, cars cluster on a road flooded with orange light, while the city rises around them as a dense machinery of concrete, shadow and heat. The title names an emotional condition rather than a palette: the exhaustion of moving through a place that is immense, illuminated and indifferent. Its brightness offers no comfort; it makes the urban enclosure feel even more inescapable.
