Original artwork description:

During a difficult time for me, I used seeds as a comforting, self-healing symbol, implying that something good might come out, even from something that is buried. A similar connotation was made with the cicada as well, referring to the sound they make, which is for me both deafening and relaxing. There is also a comparison between the shapes of the cicadas and those flying seeds, whose patterns and shapes are combined in different ways to create a series of comforting circular designs.

Materials used:

colored pencils
