“The fundamental sources of all electromagnetic radiation are electric charges in accelerated motion.
All bodies emit electromagnetic radiation as a result of thermal motion of their molecules; this radiation, called thermal radiation, is a mixture of different wavelengths”
Light is perhaps one of the strangest things we all depend on – it is considered to be both particle and wave form. It is fundamental to our existence.
I am always more interested in what cannot be seen rather than what can. These images are all produced using artificial light as subject and source.
The images are made using a range of old analogue film and modern digital cameras then digitally processed in Photoshop to output an archival digital ink print.
Image details:
W400mm x H400mm (actual image size) on W600mm x H600mm white.
