This painting is part of a series in which I seek to combine close-up female silhouettes with floral motifs. I focused on a palette of cold colors: blues and greens with a few touches of mauve. The very dark hat of the woman is adorned with a glimmer of copper leaf, like a brooch. I painted an abundance of leaves and flowers, creating a poetic atmosphere throughout the composition. I love the enigmatic title, which invites each viewer to imagine their own story.
