About Aga Koncka

Biography

Aga Koncka is a Polish sculptor and ceramic artist specializing in unique figurative forms, male busts, and expressive wall sculptures. Her practice centers on the study of human physiognomy, emotional depth, and the subtle interplay between raw, tactile material and intricate surface detailing.

Aga’s work seamlessly blends classical craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic sensibility. Working primarily with ceramic and clay, she employs specialized surface treatments—ranging from muted, natural glazes and engobes to refined gilded accents—giving her pieces a contemplative, almost mystical presence. Her portraits and busts are distinguished by serene, contemplative expressions and rich textural contrasts.

In addition to freestanding busts, the artist explores multi-faceted, organic wall installations that combine anatomical forms with expressive, sculpted textures. Her sculptures resonate naturally within refined gallery spaces, minimalist interiors, and private collections of modern art.
