Rust is often seen as the end of something. Yet it is also a transformation—a quiet collaboration between time and life.

In this landscape, nothing resists the passing of seasons. The trees stand marked by weather, the earth glows with the colors of change, and what might appear as decline becomes unexpectedly radiant. The carnival is not a celebration despite impermanence, but because of it.

I painted this work as a reminder that beauty does not belong only to what is new or untouched. There is a profound grace in things that have endured, changed, and continued to stand. Sometimes the deepest richness appears only after life has had enough time to leave its traces.
