Artwork description:

This is an multi print artwork made from 3 collagraph prints, one is the background of the piece with white ink onto black artist paper, two onto brown paper luggage tags and two linocut prints of a butterflies one onto brown paper painted with gold acrylic paint and the butterfly printed in black ink to define the butterfly details. The other butterfly is also printed in black ink but onto smooth watercolour paper. These prints are arranged into a collage, layered up to create a 3 dimensional artwork. The butterflies are mounted with their wings slightly raised mimicking nature. These are all printed from handmade printing blocks and hand printed, this is a unique artwork.

I have always loved butterflies and remember being fascinated by the collections of them which featured in the old musty museums in the school trips of my childhood. Those old framed up examples of Victorian collectors passions, each beautiful and so fragile. The butterfly is so much a symbol of beauty and the tenuous nature of life.

READY TO HANG: This artwork can be either hung on a wall or can stand independently on a surface.

Gift wrapping is offered also, frames will be wrapped in layers of acid free tissue paper then wrapped in gold brown paper tied with a black organza ribbon and a small handprinted gift card added for you to use. These will be then carefully bubble wrapped and boxed with the certificate of authenticity. If you would like your artwork gift wrapped, just let me know using the contact button.

SHIPPING:
All artworks are packed very carefully in cardboard boxes (recycled where possible) with generous layers of bubble wrap to protect them.
All orders will be processed and shipped within 3 business days.
Once shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking details and expected delivery date. If you require a specific date for delivery just let me know.
All deliveries will require a signature on delivery.
