Buttercup meadow sunrise
A dreamy light of apricot and yellow,
Gleaming over Wincombe woods,
All the trees are different shades of green,
Delicate and beautiful,
May has begun.
Words and expression of a lovely walk from where I live on the outskirts of Shaftesbury. Wiltshire.
Original expressive watercolour painting on Fabriano 300gsm 140lb cold pressed watercolour paper.
Signed on the front and back of painting.

A wet on wet watercolour using a three colour technique. . Created as an art demonstration for two new art students husband and wife in the Art Garden Studio.
For the treeline effect I used a spiral technique using my Chinese brush in a anti clockwise motion and repeating with different shades on wet paper. Dashing the brush for the flowers and dragging upwards for the grasses.
Keeping the energy and harmony of the landscape of early May.
