Painted on-site at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis with oil over casein on board. Features a peony flower with light pink petals, white highlights, and deep rose shadows. Amidst the dark background, hints of green and blue-green foliage can be glimpsed surrounding the flower. Painted in oil over casein paint on board. The casein paint background has a soft, matte texture which contrasts with the glossier oil. The shape of the flower petals is enhanced with oil paint thickly applied with palette knife.
Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
