"Blindly Free" is a profound exploration of inner liberation that transcends physical sight. In this piece, I delve into the paradox of true freedom: it is often found not by looking outward at the world, but by turning our gaze inward. The golden flowers covering the eyes represent a blooming intuition—a spiritual "sight" that awakens when we silence the noise of the external environment.
Visual Narrative:
• The Tondo Form: The circular canvas (tondo) serves as a portal into the soul’s intimacy, symbolizing eternity and the cyclical nature of thoughts.
• Symbolism of Flight: The swallows emerging from the figure's head are metaphors for thoughts that have finally gained wings. They represent the moment an idea or a feeling is liberated from the confines of the mind.
• Texture & Contrast: Using a minimalist monochromatic palette of black, white, and grey, I focus on the raw emotion expressed through heavy texture. The contrast between the delicate floral crown and the dynamic, sweeping strokes of the birds creates a sense of "stillness in motion."
Technical Details:
• Medium: Professional acrylics and mixed media on high-quality round canvas.
• Texture: Rich, tactile impasto elements created with palette knives and texture paste, giving the artwork a 3D presence on your wall.
• Finish: The accents are highlighted with [gold leaf/gold acrylic], creating a shifting glow depending on the lighting in your interior.

Materials used:

Professional acrylic paints, texture paste, gold leaf, and graphite on high-quality circular gallery-wrapped canvas.
