Original artwork description
Blindfold (2025)
"Sometimes you have to close your eyes – or let the fog close them for you – to truly see the structure of the world."
The Isolated Fragment: This 30x80 cm vertical canvas is a focused study of a mountain dawn, where the landscape is almost entirely consumed by a dense, milky fog. In this piece, my Blinkered technique reaches a point of extreme synthesis; I have taken a singular vertical memory of the peaks and stretched it until the earth and sky become one hazy, textured sanctuary.
The Musical Riddle: The title Blindfold acts as a sensory veil. It is a cryptic reference to a song or a lyrical fragment that guided my hand through the mist. It might be a direct title or an emotional inversion of a melody that played in the studio. I invite you to peel back the visual layers and find the auditory match; only then is the hidden frequency of this mountain morning fully revealed.
Textural Silence: To replicate the muffling effect of high-altitude mist, I applied dozens of layers of acrylic using sponges and rags. This creates a "kaleidoscopic" surface of muted beiges, soft teals, and earthy ochres that vibrate with a quiet intensity. For the neuroatypical mind, this painting serves as a visual "mute button"—a piece of pure, distilled silence for a modern interior.
