This painting explores the view seen of the Quantocks from the Blackdowns, one side of Taunton Deane to the other. It is painted from a small plein-air sketch produced in September 2024. It explores the vale of Taunton.
The grass in the foreground is slightly at an angle to denote slope of the field in comparison the the background view.
