Original artwork description:

He'd been wanting to create a piece that shows the physical force of the broom swing. When you look at it you feel the energy of this movement thrust upon the material. The swing cannot be controlled, to perform it perfectly, you have to do it by surprise, a sideways thought. You can control the colour, it’s general shape, how thick/watery. But you can’t control the specifics; exactly how long, if it will glob together and crack, how much it will drip. It requires a full let go.
For him to prepare the studio takes a few hours, for his physical and mental state about two weeks, and then it happens in just a few seconds.
Acrylic on tarpaulin.

Materials used:

Acrylic, tarpaulin
