Original artwork description
A textured Deep Impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring a colorful and textured coastal landscape painting.
This painting was inspired by my recent trip to Big Sur. On a mild California morning, I saw a vista of Pacific Coast irises in the foreground, gently framing the Pacific ocean. I knew it had to capture the beautiful atmosphere with my palette knives.

Lisa is an award winning, modern palette knife artist with an unmistakable style, and colorful liveliness in her distinctive paintings. Given the name “The Knife Queen” by one of her many facebook fans, Lisa maneuvers her artistic knife with an uncanny fluidity. She creates vibrant landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits, hanging internationally in collectors’ homes across the USA, England, Ireland, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. It takes a very talented and accomplished artist to use a painting or palette knife. This technique is unique, as the paint is applied very thickly, adding subtle highlights with a beautiful sense of light and movement. Combined with this, is Lisa’s outstanding ability to capture with her knife the incredible detail and personal elements that will resonate with your subconscious, and transport you into her colorful world of visual transcendence.
