Best friends, The Lake District (2017)Acrylic painting

This painting was inspired after a walk up Grasmoor in The Lake District. It was during the Easter holidays and although there were tiny pockets of snow still on the summit, we walked most of it in T-shirts. I was admiring the view when I turned to see my son and our collie sat down peacefully admiring the view. It is still one of my favourite walks. This view is looking down onto Buttermere and the fells beyond.

This painting is on box canvas, and continues around the sides so it's ready to hang on the wall. 2 coats of satin varnish are added for protection.
