Original artwork description
From my earliest recollections, I have cultivated a profound dedication to creative expression. My artistic development commenced with explorations in watercolor landscapes and plein air painting, ultimately leading me to abstraction as the most authentic representation of my inner state. I am currently an abstract painter whose work arises from a nuanced interplay between chaos and control, motion and stillness, form and formlessness.
My practice is grounded in energy and emotion, translated onto canvas through the innovative application of rollers and squeegees. These instruments extend my physical reach and intensify the gestural quality of my movements, enabling the creation of large-scale works that transcend mere visual experience. They become tangible embodiments of rhythm, intensity, and the unseen forces that permeate our environment.
The distinct, linear elements that frequently emerge within my work symbolize unity, wholeness, and infinity. These elements arise organically as I yield to the artistic process, allowing the tools to function as extensions of my own physicality. Each stroke represents a deliberate embodiment of thought, emotion, and presence, demanding both discipline and surrender. This methodology transforms painting into a meditative yet dynamic exploration of self-discovery.
Influenced by the spontaneity of action painting and the contemplative serenity of Zen art, my process synthesizes movement and mindfulness. Through complete physical engagement, I facilitate the emergence of unseen inner landscapes, revealing concealed layers of psyche and spirit. The fluorescent palette I deliberately employ enhances the vitality of nature, while dynamic textures evoke a surreal, spiritual dimension. Gradations within the work serve as visual metaphors for optimism, interconnectedness, and humanity’s reliance on the natural world.
The scale of my paintings encourages viewers not only to observe but to experience—to immerse themselves in the vibrations of color, texture, and light. My art endeavors to transcend the purely visual realm and to awaken within each observer a sense of wonder, introspection, and a heightened awareness of the self and the universe.
Ultimately, my work stands as a testament to the boundless potential of human expression when body, mind, and spirit converge. It serves as both a personal meditation and a communal invitation: to contemplate the interconnected dance of all living entities, to bear witness to the power of nature, and to encounter the immeasurable resonance of creation.
