Beautiful Sunset sky
Cerulean blue up above,
Orange and yellow merging,
Ethereal woodland,
Muted and earthy,
Finding peace.
Words and expression
I will never take where I live for granted. It is why I love to paint landscapes throughout the seasons. This is inspired by where I live at Shaftesbury, Breach common, North Dorset.
Original expressive watercolour on Bockingford tinted blue 300gsm 140lb, cold pressed watercolour paper.
I wet the paper and used wet on wet washes leaving some slits of light. I used a bushy hogs hair brush and a Chinese hake. It is always challenging working like this as you never really know how it’s going to turn out, once dry!
