I noticed the motif with the bathhouse while walking through the village of Kyn for the first time. We stopped on the Chusovaya River near the stones where I also wrote several sketches. It took about fifteen minutes to walk to this place from our parking spot. The motif looked especially impressive on a sunny day at sunset. The silhouette of a bathhouse in the shade with cold reflections from the sky creates a pleasant and solid foreground. And warm, varied green impasto strokes of the sunlit forest in the background, which create an emphasis on the background.
