Original artwork description
Variations around the mask of the "Barong", mythological creature of the island of Bali, leader of the forces of good, scary enough to chase away evil spirits, not enough to torment the traveller. The masks were re-drawn and then cut into four uneven pieces. Decomposition then re-composition These pieces were mixed and then assembled to re-create new heads that can express at the same time: laughter, fear, anger, surprise… Acrylic on paper.
