The pink azalea in my garden is the very first to bloom in spring and I love how the pale pink color contrasts with the dark green leaves. I had to wait several years for this bush to grow large enough for me to feel I could cut a significant portion to bring into the house, and this blue ceramic vase with its painted flowers, and central large pink bloom, struck me as perfect for these blossoms. So this work was painted from life; oil on canvas, framed in a delicately carved wooden silver frame that highlights the blue background. It is ready to hang. The inside dimensions are 18x18 inches, outside, 23x23 (45.75x45.75 cm and 58.42x58.42 cm respectively). Signed on the back, sealed in Gamvar satin varnish for uniformity and protection, colorfast for 500 years, this work ships with a Certificate of Authenticity.
