Autumn Radiance is a wide autumn forest landscape painting showing a light filled clearing in vibrant autumn colours. It is 16x40x1.5 inches oil on canvas. The place that inspired the painting is part of the gardens of Standen House, National Trust property, near East Grinstead in Sussex. If you get the right moment in in Autumn, the trees glow like stained glass windows and walking through them on the crispy leaves is one of the biggest joys you can get from nature, especially if the sun is out. The wide canvas makes the scene look almost holy and cathedral-like and that captures the essence of Autumn for me. It is painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed and ready to hang.
