This is such a strange spring for me. Perhaps it is because Amman greeted us with cold weather. The landscapes around Amman, with their dry grasses and delicate, standing stems, made me look at nature in a different way. There is a quiet beauty in dried grasses and fading plants — something fragile, warm, and poetic.

I wanted to bring this feeling into “Autumn Flowers”: delicate pink and ivory flowers surrounded by deep green leaves, with warm earthy tones and subtle traces of dryness. A warm blanket and hot tea with honey somehow found their way into the colours of the leaves and petals.

I also wanted to experiment with a semi-dry brush, allowing the paint to create slightly dry, textured effects. For me, this technique echoes the beauty of dried grasses and fading flowers — nature at the moment when its colours become softer and more muted, but its character becomes even more expressive.

“Autumn Flowers” is a contemporary floral oil painting inspired by the landscapes of Amman, changing seasons, and the quiet beauty of nature in transition. The deep background and warm botanical colours create an intimate, atmospheric feeling that can bring a touch of nature and seasonal warmth to an interior.
