This vibrant composition is inspired by a beautiful, sunny autumn day. Oaks, beeches, lindens, chestnuts, maples, and other trees are shedding their fruit and taking on increasingly colorful foliage in shades of yellow, sienna, orange, red, and brown. The first autumn winds send leaves swirling and rustling across the ground...

On my palette, I mixed white and blue alongside the hues of the autumn foliage. The brushstrokes and palette-knife marks run in many directions, freely capturing the movement of leaves swirled by the wind.

The wealth of detail invites the viewer to look closely and let their imagination run free.
