I was drawn to the quiet beauty of this familiar place outside its busy season. The muted colour palette and spacious composition capture the atmosphere of an ordinary grey day while conveying the distinctive character of traditional Bavarian beer gardens.

The painting is protected with a varnish. The edges of the canvas are painted dark brown, allowing it to be displayed without a frame.
