This is a palette knife piece that I did from my imagination. I wanted to convey the same dream-like quality of my own mind's eye.

In my mind, this was break of day, late Summer/early Fall. The Sun is just beginning to emerge, burning off the early morning haze. Still though, there remain vague images ; shadows, flecks of color, shapes, that are indefinable. The red flecks could be part of the emerging sunrise (there are a few repeated in the sky,) sparks from a distant fire or some type of foliage, etc. Everything looks so much different in the clear light of day, I wanted to portray that short window before the clearness.
