Atmospheric Study No. 10 (2026) Original Oil Painting by Daria Zavadenko
28 x 28 x 2.5cm (framed) / 20 x 20cm (actual image size)
£216.29
Original artwork description
Part of an ongoing series exploring the relationship between horizon, atmosphere, and landscape space.
This original oil painting continues an investigation into light, atmosphere, and perception through a reduced landscape language. Built with expressive palette knife marks and layered oil paint, the composition balances abstraction with references to land, sky, and the quiet intensity of a single point of light.
A small, glowing orange disc hovers in a vast monochrome sky, its light tracing a vertical reflection down through the textured water below. Cool greys and muted purples dominate the upper composition, while fragments of green, gold, and white build a quiet, fractured surface across the lower half. The contrast between the stillness of the sky and the restless texture of the water creates a quiet visual tension.
Rather than depicting a specific location, the painting explores the experience of landscape as a space shaped by light, weather, and the passage of time. Rich textures and layered color relationships reveal new details with sustained observation.
